The Reality TV show known as the “Real Housewives of Magaville” is unfolding at a blistering pace, with a lot of “What?” “Who?” “Huh?” “DAFUQ?” Yesterday, I referred to this as the Dunning-Kruger Olympics.
The proposed head of the world’s most powerful military is white supremacist sycophant who claims that he hasn’t washed his hands in ten (now fifteen) years because, “Germs are not a real thing. I can’t SEE them.” Never mind your pretty head that “Germ Theory” precedes The Christ by at least 200 years…those pesky “scientists” are taking away Muh Liburtee.
Shortly after Covid 19 was named as a global pandemic, the far-right, Qanon fever-swamps started posting a meme claiming: "Ecneics" ("science" spelled backwards) is a pagan word that refers to a device for summoning "Satin." We all know Satin is the Lord of Comfort. Who doesn’t love Satin sheets or Satin pajamas? Not sure who Brian is, but he is ‘washing’ are kids?
Here’s another one. Dumbshit spelled backwards is Tihsbmud. Tihsbmud was Satin’s right-hand man. Together they ruled over the Silkworms of China and Satin and Tihsbmud have infiltrated our children’s minds with Communist propaganda via their delivery mechanism know as TikTok.
The proposed head of National Intelligence is a Russian stooge. We are living in the real-world version of The Americans. Tulsi is no Keri Russell though. Daddy Vladdy is getting instant payback for his hard work in manipulating American elections.
A guy under an ethics investigation for drugging underage girls to have sex with them is being proposed for the nation’s top law enforcement office.
The “Mass Deportation” Klan is a who’s who of unqualified and sadistic imbeciles. MSNBC called them: A Trifecta of Cruelty.
Fash Gotta Swim: Vichy GOP
All these “proposed” appointments are expected to happen by “Recess Appointments,” an extra-Constitutional effort that resembles the actions of any fascist dictator throughout history…because, you know, “I have an Article 2 where I have the right to do whatever I want as president.”
Prior to 2023, we also had Article I and Article III, those pesky checks and balances that sandwich the Supreme Leader. Now that SCOTUS has declared that the United States can legally have a King, those Articles are moot, at best. There are no more checks and balances.
The current Vichy GOP is going to answer Bob Dylan’s question for all of us. “…how many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see?”
If you are nostalgic about the days when the GOP represented integrity, character, honor and stood up to autocrats like Putin, cry more. That party is gone. It has been replaced by the MAGA Cult. This is the Vichy GOP and they are going to bend over backwards to give Putin everything he wants, even if that means removing the United States as the leader on the global stage. Tom Nichols calls it: “Putinphilia.”
One of the problems with the USA stepping down as the global leader is, it leaves a vacuum that someone will ultimately fill. (Hint: It’s NOT Russia) There is a great podcast called Shield of the Republic that is hosted by some of the more brilliant minds in foreign policy. If you are a Bulwark Member you can get the podcast ad free. If you are concerned about National Security issues, particularly about America ceding its power on the world stage, give them a listen. Suffice to say, the guy that doesn’t wash his hands is not a number one choice for maintaining America’s role in the world.
Outside of the Shield of the Republic, The Atlantic is pretty much the only Fourth Estate publication left standing in the wake of this year’s complete and total failure of the national media. The scraps are being picked up by stronger independent media that, for now, continue to report on actual news as opposed to today’s catnip, Angertainment.
The Salon piece is worth reading to clarify:

Dark MAGA
The last-minute move by the cult members to start calling themselves “Dark MAGA” says more about us than it does about them. As the title says: We’re All in the Splash Zone. QAnon’s catchphrase is more relevant now than ever: Where We Go One, We Go All. We are all going into the trash compacter. All Americans. We are being taken there by this logic:

Crank up the love of your brothers and sisters? The people who want others to hurt are gloating. In the past week alone, divorce filings have skyrocketed as women married to MAGAts have had enough. Add to this the surge in online searches for the “4B Movement,” a South Korean movement by women to completely swear off men, dating, marriage and childbirth.

Should we be concerned that T***p wants to institute a national education policy that mirrors the Führer’s indoctrination of his Hitler Youth? Will ‘teaching’ White Supremacy make America a stronger, better nation? Would this differ much from the current teachings in ‘religious’ institutions?
In the coming period of darkness, it will be up to us to shine the light. No, we do not have to rescue anyone that calls themselves ‘Dark MAGA.’ We do not need to save them from themselves. Alanon teaches “Tough Love.” Anything other than this is enabling. Eventually, at the bottom, they will find the answer. It might be blowin’ in the wind?
