“Based on a 1954 law known as the Johnson Amendment, the IRS bans all 501(c)(3) nonprofits — including churches — from active involvement in political campaigns. However, the Johnson Amendment does not restrict pastors from offering biblical guidance on contemporary issues, and many evangelical leaders say pastors have a clear responsibility to do so.” --NAE
“You know what they ought to do with churches? Tax them. If holy people are so interested in politics, government, and public policy, let them pay the price of admission like everybody else” — George Carlin
There can be no schism more hypocritical right now that the takeover the U.S. Government by far-right Talibangelicals who say they do not believe in the separation of church and state and yet somehow want to maintain that there is a separation of church and state.
You have to live in the upside-down world of Christofascist thinking to wrap your head around it.
The man to pay attention to right now is Russell Vought. Vought is the prime architect of Project 2025 and is supposed to reclaim his spot as the head of OMB as the Heritage Foundation begins their implementation of the radical Project 2025 assault on the country.
“Russ Vought is a self-described Christian nationalist and architect of Project 2025 who was Trump’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Vought is behind Trump’s “Day One” plans for a sweeping expansion of executive power, including deploying the military to quash civil unrest, and seizing more control over the DOJ (which he called “not an independent agency”). Vought is the 2024 RNC Policy Director and founder of Center for Renewing America, a Project 2025 Advisory Board member.” -- project2025admin.com

Vought is a slimeball and, of course, a Christian Nationalist. In other words, a whack job.
One of the best in-depth looks at how twisted Vought is was published here on Substack by Thomas Zimmer. He also recently made an appearance on The Bulwark with Tim Miller.
“Vought identifies as a Christian nationalist who seeks to infuse the government and society with elements of Christianity while having "a commitment to an institutional separation between church and state, but not the separation of Christianity from its influence on government and society," according to The Washington Post.” --Wikipedia
Like the rest of these scummy Talibangelicals, Vought wants the government to be run by “Christian Ideology,” e.g., billionaires, but wants to keep the churches from being taxed. Between Salem Broadcasting, The Vott Network, Sinclair, RSBN and rest of the right-wing ecosystem, preaching from the pulpit is a 24/7 operation. And yet the churches get away with paying ZERO in taxes while they influence politics from the pulpits and the airwaves.
Their Goal is to Take Over the United States
“Their goal is to take over the United States the way the ayatollah took over Iran.” –Frank Zappa
Estimates range from $75/$85 billion annually if we charge the churches taxes. If they are going to act as political PACs, then they need to pay the price of admission.
“Making churches tax-exempt can also be considered an enforcement of the separation of church and state, with the government not interfering in religious affairs. Not being taxed especially helps smaller churches, which would otherwise close due to their tiny budgets which are dependent largely on donations.” –Big Think
Again, separation of church and state when it comes to taxes, no separation for when the Talibangelicals want total control of the U.S. Government. Make it make sense. Explain it to me like I am a five-year-old.
Zappa saw it coming decades ago. We truly are Dumb All Over.
“White Christian nationalism is a “deep story” about America’s past and a vision of its future. It includes cherished assumptions about what America was and is, but also what it should be.” ― Philip S. Gorski, The Flag and the Cross: White Christian Nationalism and the Threat to American Democracy
It is near impossible to fathom that someone like Barry Goldwater, a man who stood up to the Birchers and authored The Conscience of a Conservative, and who fought against the religious right taking over the party, could now be considered a pariah in the world of Project 2025.
“Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.” -- Barry Goldwater (typical Jew)
Our God Says: "There Ain't No Other!"
We are about to enter the modern Crusades. Read through the parade of chucklefucks on the Project 2025 Admin site. These people are the embodiment of evil. They are everything Goldwater and Zappa warned us about decades ago.
This is another reason that Palestine has to go. Palestinians are toast. Time for a good old-fashioned genocide.
Jared Kushner suggests Israel should move Palestinians out of Gaza and 'clean it up'
America WILL bend its knee to the Talibangelicals. They are going to come out swinging on Day One and the rest of us will either straighten up and fly right or be exterminated by the Extremists.

All of us are about to be run over by a runaway train because, as Goldwater said: “they can't and won't compromise.”
One thing you must understand about Project 2025 is, it is NOT a legislative or policy-driven agenda. Its sole purpose to stamp out what they perceive as “woke.” Whatever the fuck that is. Best guess is that it is not white?
There will be a national ban on abortion and child marriage legalized throughout the country.
“About 300,000 children and teens were legally married in the United States between 2000 and 2018, according to data from Unchained at Last, a nonprofit that works to help women and girls in forced marriages.” –The Hill
Tax free religious extremists, funded by dark money, secretive religious groups and a host of Christian Nationalist weirdos with their hands on the levers of power.
What could possibly go wrong?
“When the dogma becomes legislation, that’s when you have the danger.” --Zappa
