1488 Catholics Can’t Be Wrong
Sarah Longwell, publisher of The Bulwark, recently stated that, “If you can be neutral right now, you should not be a thought leader.”
The Catholic Church has a sordid history of fucking up to put it mildly. In Germany 1933, the Catholic Church helped to secure the Enabling Act of 1933 which basically created Adolph Hitler.
In 2022, six Catholic SCOTUS Justices repealed Roe vs. Wade. In 2024, six Catholic Supreme Court Justices declared that the President is above the law and can commit any crime he wants with impunity. The Catholic SCOTUS judges have paved the way for a dictator to take over the country and for women to die from septic miscarriages and/or ectopic pregnancies.
Prior to this theocratic prurience, a Catholic hospital would routinely perform D&Cs on women with miscarriages. In 2024, doctors are afraid of losing their licenses or suffering criminal charges if they save a woman’s life who is dying from a pregnancy gone wrong. Maternal mortality has gone up 56% in Texas since they ruled on their “abortion bans.”
White Supremacy and Extremist Groups
A large number of the current Christian Nationalist “pastors” are Catholic. And the Christian Nationalists are aligned with extremist, far-right MRA (Men’s Rights Advocacy) groups and militias. This is who the Church has aligned itself with in 2024. Anti-feminist groups—the Proud Boys, the Three Percenters, and the Oath Keepers—and two others, QAnon and the White Supremacist/White National Coalitions that promote the Trad Wife movement.

Religion, and specifically the Catholic Church, has a long tradition of being involved in fascist and authoritarian movements. Project 2025 is being fueled by numerous far-right Catholics.
Since mid-2024, a Catholic group has been hosting “Masses for Trump.” They have even hosted a black-tie "Catholic Prayer for Trump" event at Mar-a-Lago, with speakers including conservative lobbyist Roger Stone and U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, two people who as far out on the fringe of religious non-reality as you can get. Flynn is absolutely bat-shit crazy with the Christian Nationalism crap, touring the country in his “ReAwaken America Roadshow,” recruiting members to his “Army of God.”

These tent revivals which are advocating for the Dominionist Seven Mountains Mandate are often accompanied by Nazi symbolism, both overt and more subtle. The Iron Cross and the “1488” symbols are used as ship whistles to their ‘flock.’ If you see anything broadcast on RSBN: Right Side Broadcasting Network, they often run ads next to their feeds for T***p merch/gold coins etc, Ivermectin and Mike Lindell’s “MyPillows” which you can purchase for the low, low price of just $14.88.

Catholics are in bed, not just with Christian Nationalists but, White Nationalists. And they are holding prayer services for a racist demagogue. The same wannabe dictator who recently acted out fellatio on a microphone stand at one of his ‘rallies.’ Family values right here, folks.
This wave of “Catholic Integralism” has put them in bed with far-right white supremacists like Nick Fuentes who dined with T***p at Mar-a-Lago alongside Kanye West. Both West and Fuentes are avowed white nationalists and pro Neo-Nazis.

This is all part of Project 2025, which is a theocratic manifesto for taking over the country and turning it into the United States of Jesus. And the person they propped up to make their savior (Cyrus) is a demented, drooling, megalomaniacal, emotionally crippled, malignant narcissist…whose only play is: “Black and brown people are going to murder you in your kitchen, and schoolteachers are using pruning shears to cut off your kids junk.”

GenZ may be the smartest generation to come along since the Baby Boomers. These kids have grown up with shooter drills, a climate in disarray and a culture that is the most diverse and open than at any other time in America. They are also the first generation that does not have the opportunity to economically overtake their parents since the Great Depression in the 1930s.
A recent TikTok trend has been GenZ women listening to the Access Hollywood recording for the first time and posting their reactions to hearing it. These women are pissed, their mothers are pissed, their grandmothers are pissed. They don’t want to live in a HandmaId’s Tale, and they sure as shit don’t want to live in a patriarchal theocracy where the Christian Nationalists’ Messiah is a dude who brags about grabbing women by the pussy.
As I wrote about last time, this election is the Battle of the Sexes. Kamala Harris’ ‘Billie Jean King’ voters are women who are pissed off and motivated AF to vote. They are ready to tell the Manosphere: Take your Trad Wife bullshit and shove it up your ass!
T***p’s voters are disaffected males who are not exactly what you would classify as motivated. Many of these young males don’t even understand how devastating a T***p presidency would be to them over the long haul. At the rate the national debt is growing, the country has maybe two decades of solvency left before the poo-poo hits the fan…dumping right in the laps of the Bros of the Manosphere.
There is no telling if America will see its first female president. Or, if Harris breaks that glass ceiling, that she will govern well. We can trust in the fact that she is indeed smart (her opponent is the low IQ one), and she has deep empathy…two great traits for a leader. There is no telling what the planet has in store for us over the next four years.
However, it seems clear that 2024 is the Year of the Woman. We have had so many fakeouts over the past 50-60 years. America is one of the last nation’s in the free world to never have had a woman leader. The last thing we need is yet another deceptive cadence.

We need to end the reign of MAGA. Defeating T***p will not end the Heritage Foundation and The Council for National Policy’s theocratic will. But we need to shut down this authoritarian threat and save liberal democracy in the United States…for now at least.
And the Catholic Church needs to check itself…their bedfellows are fucked up.
