We are now supposed to take the word of the He Man Woman Haters Club dudes who are hawking raw milk as a “man’s drink.” Note, this is only on the right. No lefties are telling people to drink raw milk. FFS. Yeah, we are about to throw out a few centuries of germ theory because some whackadoodle with zero science expertise is going to run the FDA.
The same people who said masks were for pussies, that vaccinations made you magnetic or have tracking chips in them or that they altered your DNA? You know these bros. You went to school with them. Limbaugh, who has now been sober for almost four years, is one of the most reprehensible people ever to inhabit a meat suit. They used to blast his racist verbal diarrhea on the Armed Forces Radio Network for hours on end. He polluted the minds of millions of US citizens and service members for years. Limbaugh was anti-science, anti-education, anti-sobriety and anti-decent human being.
Spawns of Limbaugh, like piece of shit Nick Fuentes have started up a meme war post-election saying: Your Body, My Choice and harassing women on TikTok. “Your body, my choice. Forever,” Fuentes wrote in a post that racked up nearly 25 million views and 29,000 likes. And white women once again went 52% for the adjudicated rapist for president. Way to go ladies!
So yeah, the United States government is about to be run by far-right, deeply misogynistic, conspiracy crazies who legitimately are man-children. Elect a Clown.
Being Silent: No More
There is benefit to silence, meditation, going inward. But this moment does not call for silence. It is time to make a lot of noise, a lot of good trouble. "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter" ---Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
While we can, we will need to be super loud. Loud and kind. Again, our calling is to be a force for good, to push back against the inherent scatological nature of fascism. Fascism is built on fear, anger, resentment and retribution.
Our retribution needs to be modeled in loving energy and kindness. We aren’t fighting a “spiritual war,” contrary to what Fuckface Michael Flynn says. They can have all the white-nationalist, misogynistic, Christofascist and hateful rhetoric. But when they spew it, we respond as The Living Christ.
Mom always said: “You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.” Rumi says: “Christ is the population of the world, and every object as well. There is no room for hypocrisy. Why use bitter soup for healing when sweet water is everywhere?” Rumi also says: “A Candle never Loses any of its Light while Lighting up another candle.”
MAGA and T***p represent EVERYTHING from which The Christ came to free us. To free us from ego, from self, from anger and from resentment. Clinical studies have shown that people who work in extremely traumatic occupations such as ER or crime scene work get the most mental health benefit from social interaction. The same goes for people who have been brainwashed into a cult.
The single most critical thing to do when trying to help someone out of a cult is build rapport. MAGA is a dangerous cult that has moved the USA toward fascism. These people may be fucked up on religion and conspiracies, but they need TLC. The easiest way to see them is as a patient sitting in a hospital gown. That type of compassion is required. We must hold our hands out in understanding and love. There is no other way right now folks.
